Fanny Hill (Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure) written by John Cleland in 1748 is the first English pornographic prose to ever become published and has been the subject of many controversies. It was banned in the USA for the second time in 1963, but the ban was lifted in 1973 making it the last book to ever be banned in the United States of America.
